Parents should also be there for them during recitals and to always give encouragements to their children. You must understand that it will not be easy to learn an instrument. There will be times that he will want to quit. It is your job to give him encouragement and motivate him to go on with the lessons.
Even though the violin lesson is through for the day, your child should still practice. All the violin schools in the world will advice it too, but often this is taken for granted. One cannot master an instrument without practicing it. To be great, you will need dedication and commitment. Without these two, there won’t be enjoyment in the effort. And without enjoyment, it will be better to just choose another hobby you can truly be happy with.
