Beginner Guitar Lessons

As with any music program, the key is to spend many hours to learn your instrument, and Beginner Guitar Lessons is no different. If you stick through that boring repetition and work with the program at least an hour weekly, you will learn the basic guitar chords for the price of one lesson; that’s a deal. Hi and thanks for inquiring about beginner guitar lessons. Whether you are interested in acoustic guitar or electric guitar, the basics are the same. Generally, a six-string guitar is necessary for beginner guitar lessons. You will also need several pics and an electronic tuner for beginner guitar lessons .

I teach from my studio in North London, it’s about 15 mins drive from Crouch End and I will also visit you in your home. This should be your very first of the beginner guitar lessons. Alexander covers all of the preliminaries such as tuning, holding the guitar, picking and then teaches you how to play your very first rock chord and lick. Trey explains every step and breaks each example down so you know exactly what to play and how to play it. I offer beginner through advanced guitar lessons for all ages in southern Maine. Styles covered include all sorts of rock, pop, blues, funk, jazz and folk. Music theory and ear training lessons are available as well. They can be integrated into guitar lessons or taught separately. I have realized, after some time teaching, that not all students learn the same way. In fact, almost everyone learns differently. So for example the first ten minutes is warm up exercises which can be chromatic scale patterns covering the guitar neck up and down. At a speed that allows the notes to be played cleanly.

Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s talk about my favorite albums for learning how to play blues, rock and slide guitar . Of course there are many on my list but there can only be 5. Our free online lessons are generally 5-10 minute videos that cover specific techniques and ideas. We also have a variety of beginner books and DVDs.
