Free Guitar Lessons

Music and learning an instrument are complicated enough without all the gobbledygook and my approach to teaching music has always been to use plain English. This is mainly because I am a self taught player myself and I have been able, over the decades, to form my own view of how music works and how it applies to the guitar. Many music teachers would caution students about taking “no pain, no gain” as an acceptable response from their music teacher regarding a complaint of physical pain.

Our purpose here is not to give just free guitar lessons without any knowledge of music but giving guitar lessons blended with music theory. We believe that more or less the music theory is a must for all guitarists. Just like free guitar tabs, free guitar lessons can be found quite easily online. A simple internet search will return numerous pages of free of charge guitar lessons with loads of helpful information. There are free guitar lessons available online to suit any genre, and you need to examine them to be sure they fulfill the major requirements of the beginner guitar player. Your guitar lessons should be aimed at beginner guitarists with attention paid to basics like tuning and learning the structure of chords.

Want to know where to find the best free guitar lessons? Need help in playing by ear?

Lack of money, lack of time, or lack of a good teacher are three big obstacles to your guitar learning progress. The other three big obstacles are all you. From home everybody can progress at his own pace without any prior musical skills since all lessons are written in both tablature and standard musical notation.

Some recent topics include reharmonization, chord voicing techniques, vibraphone amplification, and four-mallet techniques. A number of the lessons offer audio (.wav, RealAudio) or MIDI examples, and most include music notation. Learn how chords are created , what modes are and where to find them . And for those of you who already know it, I’ll give you a chord formula that 95% of guitarists have NEVER SEEN that will have you improvising chords all over the neck.
